Designs for areas you could spend time in

Below are proposed designs for three different areas in Ardrossan, which will aim to create spaces where people can socialise, relax and enjoy spending time in. Each slider shows a photo of how the location looks now, and also the proposed design of what it could be. After each slider there are questions relating to each proposed design.

North Shore

Image shows proposed design for the area behind bus stop. Proposals include it being an active travel route to North Shore, with cycle parking and seating, as well as tree planting and a rain garden to help drain water sustainably, brighten the area and improve air quality
Looking towards North Shore, down Montgomerie Street, from the bus stop on Glasgow Street, located north of the church. There is no through road here from Glasgow Street - there is the pavement and a small area with bench and litter bin separating the two streets.
